  1. oh my gosh – your APC jeans look sooooo awesome. I can’t wait for mine to start to age like that! I’ve started to notice a few fades around the knees already and it’s pretty exciting stuff. thanks for making me want to buy them ;)

and thanks for the blog love, you’re the best! xo

  2. This is a lovely top 5 list to read, I’ve been stumped for some ‘new’ music for a while so may use your list as a starting point. I’ve very much enjoyed reading your blog over the past year and wish you a belated (almost) happy new year! – charlotte x

    • Of course! I surely had to track down the best burger spots in Berlin. I was meaning to check out Burgermeister in Kreuzberg too but after three burgers in a week my stomach said stop… anyway, next time I’ll check out Burgermeister. I LOVE Berlin! Such a good city for good food and good clubbing and electronic music too.

      • I can assure you that the burgers at ‘The Bird’ are far more tastier than Burgermeister, although it’s very ‘Berlin’ to eat in an old renovated public toilet ;) Nice to hear you liked it here :)!

  3. I love a long post especially if it’s done by Fleurette! Thank you for the blogs top I loved them all! I saw those APC jeans on you in janesneakpeak’s post. The fit is amazing.

    • Thank you, Cristina! I’m not entirely happy with the fit to be honest, but it’s just a matter of preference. I like that they are loose but they’re not loose through the legs, which is a bit annoying. Regardless I wear them every single day.

        • Hmm, that’s odd. Maybe it depends on the color or whether or not it’s been dyed? Mine is as soft as cashmere is too. I get it if the wool is softer when dyed… I need to do some chem research or ask my teacher.

          • Yes, you’re right. The dying process impacts the softness of the wool. Darker colors are never as soft as their lighter/brighter colors because the yarn absorbs more of the dye. And of course I always have to do my feel test in stores;)

Love this post. It’s so full of little joys. And your rompers are to die for!

  4. coincidentally, i purchased a pair of those same church’s shoes and APC petite standard jeans this year — they are indeed among the best items i’ve ever owned. simple classics — they were beautiful when i bought them and grow more beautiful with time.

    • OMG thank you for the tip. Actually I’m going back to CPH in the end of February, but it’s just for a few hours with the booze cruise (free tickets!!) and the plan is to eat pizza at mother, my favorite place. But now I need to try the burger at hache.

  5. So badly in need of new music so your recommendations came just in time! (I have to say, I do not share your enthusiasm for Frank Ocean though).

Love that category of unpredictable yet successful purchases; I think the riskiest buys are also often the most rewarding (assuming they work!)

    • Many people don’t! But I really enjoyed his last album (and also the first one), Frank Ocean is the sound of summer 2012 and conjures up great memories!
I too thing they are the most rewarding buys if they work out – all of my best purchases and most beloved items are the unpredictable ones!

  6. That is the kind of post that I love ! Thank you fleurette!
I’m actually going to London next month, I’ll definitely try the Honest Burger !
You also make me want to start a jumpsuit collection, jumpsuits seems to be the perfect dress alternative.
    The church’s brogues are beautiful,
but I was wondering, are those iconic shoes comfortable?

    • Hi Pauline! Thank you! Yes, those brogues are very very comfortable once you’ve broken them in, at least in my opinion they are! You really should try the burger over at Honest Burgers. And Lucky Chip too if you get the chance (I haven’t been there, though but read that they have the best burgers too).

  7. So glad to visit your blog and find not one, but several new posts (obviously it has been a few weeks!).

I’ve been meaning to do a top 12 of 2012 (in terms of purchases), but still haven’t gotten around to it, so you aren’t the only one behind.

I’ve heard so many good things about those Acne scarves, I am thinking of adding one to my wardrobe this year, although in what colour…

  8. Love this. A few things I wanted to say: 1)Clicked over to listen to Kendrick Lamar samples while I read this, LOVE it. Going to have to check out all your music recommendations now. Thank you. 2)I am in love with both pairs of my churchs, so glad to hear you love yours as well! 3)You are adorable in those jumpsuits. Seriously, not many gals could pull those off. 4)Burgers are delicious, I’m glad you’re doing due diligence and researching so thoroughly to find the best. 4)Heading over to check out those blogs as well. 5)Yours is one of my favorite blogs, hands down. So thanks for all that!

    • Oh, this made me smile! Glad you liked Kendrick Lamar! You should really check out his earlier work as well like section.80 even though it’s different from the newest album but still brilliant. And thank you for the compliment on jumpsuits!! Enjoy the other blogs!

BTW, check out this bonus track on good kid, maad city. It’s not available on spotify.

  9. Hi Fleurette! Girl who needed a gift for a 30 y old friend b day here :) I ended up giving her a thin silver necklace with a sparkling pendant. Nothing special, but it’s something that will stick with her for a long time. Thank u for the answer:) XOXO p.s: lovely post as usual***
