I always look to La Garçonne for sartorial inspiration. The lookbooks over at La Garçonne never cease to be spot on and real. Talisa of Badlands blog – one of my daily reads – put together a post with her favorite looks, and I couldn’t agree more with her wonderful picks so I simply borrowed her little compilation. The second outfit and the last one to the right are my favorites right now. I can’t wait to start dressing lighter and more summery.

i love the sandals with the socks look.
Oh, Fleurette are you procrastinating or taking a well-deserved break? :D I like the last outfit too, mmm wine. Is the model wearing socks and sandals in the one on the left?! I want to do that too. All these outfits are practical, comfortable and wearable. I like.
Haha, I’m not, it’s just a kick off to a long weekend with lots of studying. :( Socks in sandals = hot if done right!
what a great lookbook! this simple french style is amazing, outfit no.03/04 are wunderful, a elegant but also casual style. i love it
Love these, the muted tones and softness. Their styling always appeals to me, too, but I am forcing myself to become a little more hesitant when translating the looks onto myself……the end result is so rarely the same (perhaps because I am of average to low height?). But the images are so beautiful to observe, they have a sort of soothing effect on the mind, somehow. And they are incredibly ‘accessible’.
My faves are the second and third images. It is indeed such a relief to be able to wear less now that spring is on the way. I love the inbetween seasons most of all:)
I often find myself browsing La Garçonne, not for the clothes, but rather the styling. I am really enjoying the lighter, muted palette and light weight clothing. It makes me yearn for spring.
This kind of style truly appeals to me. The only difference is I tend to go for more fitted jackets and coats due to my vertically challenged flaw. Half the time, I look like photo 5 in my sweats and striped sweater but I tend to wear ankle boots because it’s still too cold for sandals.
Damn everything looks amazing. The silhouette, the colours, the different fabrics… my wallet is done for.
Fleurette, you are one of my daily reads too. Always love your blog :)
Agreed about favourite outfits! I am devastated that the stripey Wang sold out before I could get it…

ha Talisa you just said wang! I kind of like that cute little mulberry bag.. and the grey jacket too.
xxxx
I love La Garconne too. Everything I add on pinterest is pretty much coming from their website. Amazing looks and items <3
Those sandals look great! It’s somehow so hard at least for me to find a nice pair of summer sandals for the really really hot weather..
Please excuse me I’m french, my english is terrible.
So, last night all I did was reading your blog, I really help me. I’m only 17 years old and I already have troubles with clothes. A few months from now, I had not even ONE basic in my wardrobe. Now I’m trying to buy only GOOD basics (it recently bought a coat at Petit bateau, you really should go a Petit bateau, there is amazing stuffs). But I don’t have a job, I don’t have the money to buy all I need. I don’t know why I’m telling you this..
Anyway, thank you,
it’s difficult right know to only buy quality stuffs that I love (difficult for the money), but I know that at the end I won’t regret it. Because my last year red coat, I don’t like it anymore, I wore it only one season. My Petit Bateau coat, he is so simple and perfectly cut that I will never hate it.
Bye, and please don’t stop, you’re a great guru haha

Mee too, but peaking at next winters collection, the black/grey times are over. velvet, neopren and satin rule!
Samme her!
Oh how I love la Garconne. No other shop styles as well as them… Except.. Maryam Nassir Zadeh. Love them too.
Slouchy chic, yes please.
