Spring ensembles

(via badlands-blog.com, lagarconne)

I always look to La Garçonne for sartorial inspiration. The lookbooks over at La Garçonne never cease to be spot on and real. Talisa of Badlands blog – one of my daily reads – put together a post with her favorite looks, and I couldn’t agree more with her wonderful picks so I simply borrowed her little compilation. The second outfit and the last one to the right are my favorites right now. I can’t wait to start dressing lighter and more summery.

  1. Oh, Fleurette are you procrastinating or taking a well-deserved break? :D I like the last outfit too, mmm wine. Is the model wearing socks and sandals in the one on the left?! I want to do that too. All these outfits are practical, comfortable and wearable. I like.

  3. Love these, the muted tones and softness. Their styling always appeals to me, too, but I am forcing myself to become a little more hesitant when translating the looks onto myself……the end result is so rarely the same (perhaps because I am of average to low height?). But the images are so beautiful to observe, they have a sort of soothing effect on the mind, somehow. And they are incredibly ‘accessible’.
My faves are the second and third images. It is indeed such a relief to be able to wear less now that spring is on the way. I love the inbetween seasons most of all:)

  4. I often find myself browsing La Garçonne, not for the clothes, but rather the styling. I am really enjoying the lighter, muted palette and light weight clothing. It makes me yearn for spring.

  5. This kind of style truly appeals to me. The only difference is I tend to go for more fitted jackets and coats due to my vertically challenged flaw. Half the time, I look like photo 5 in my sweats and striped sweater but I tend to wear ankle boots because it’s still too cold for sandals.

  6. Fleurette, you are one of my daily reads too. Always love your blog :)
Agreed about favourite outfits! I am devastated that the stripey Wang sold out before I could get it…

  7. Those sandals look great! It’s somehow so hard at least for me to find a nice pair of summer sandals for the really really hot weather..

  8. Please excuse me I’m french, my english is terrible.
So, last night all I did was reading your blog, I really help me. I’m only 17 years old and I already have troubles with clothes. A few months from now, I had not even ONE basic in my wardrobe. Now I’m trying to buy only GOOD basics (it recently bought a coat at Petit bateau, you really should go a Petit bateau, there is amazing stuffs). But I don’t have a job, I don’t have the money to buy all I need. I don’t know why I’m telling you this..
    Anyway, thank you,
it’s difficult right know to only buy quality stuffs that I love (difficult for the money), but I know that at the end I won’t regret it. Because my last year red coat, I don’t like it anymore, I wore it only one season. My Petit Bateau coat, he is so simple and perfectly cut that I will never hate it.
Bye, and please don’t stop, you’re a great guru haha
