Here is what I have been wearing for an entire week, with a few subtle variations. Truth be told, I’m such a creature of habit. Once I get engrossed in a new style-formula discovery, I neglect to wear anything else. Also, I tend wear a certain item day in, day out – in this case these tapered trousers and the Kooples boots. Especially when it comes to bags, I wear only one for months at a time. As for this particular silhouette, I designed it when I was putting together an ensemble for a night out last weekend – probably my go-to outfit for nights out as of now (but swap the breton top for an unbuttoned silk button-down shirt).
That said, I have to be honest… I haven’t worn these trousers since January, but due to weight gain they fit like a glove now, so far as I can tell. As you can see from this post, these trousers made my legs look a tad skeletal and I wasn’t mentally comfortable sporting them back then. And all of a sudden, I’ve become relatively self-conscious about wearing completely fitted pants such as skinny jeans. I suppose it takes time to get used to my body’s physical changes. Nonetheless, it’s just a shame that the pictures don’t do the trousers justice at all. The fit is ultimately impeccable!
Incidentally, I must admit I haven’t been an avid advocate of posting photos of this nature since I reincarnated this blog roughly a year ago. I just recently started to include many outfit shots, perhaps out of habit. I like the idea of curating a style blog that incorporates visual pictures of the curator’s style – after all, that’s what I love seeing on the style blogs I frequent. My Mommy Style and Garderoben are two great examples. Regardless, I dress rather simple, basic and probably boring according to people. Nothing extraordinary or innovative. Sometimes it strikes me that my outfit photos are beyond basic, and I also start wondering if they are blog-worthy at all. Despite that, I am partial to seeing outfits of this nature on other style blog curators (for reference, check out the aforementioned blogs). Anyway, do I post too many photos? Too many details and so on…? Any thoughts and feedback are appreciated. (I wish to cater to my readers because, at the end of the day, you are the visitors of this blog…)

Vintage jacket, A.P.C. shirt, Zara trousers, Balenciaga city bag, The Kooples boots
you're very amazing yet still so self conscious, I think the uniform fits very well without all your other posts on how you want your style to be. More photos can't hurt :) because you do dress parisian chic.
I like those trousers A LOT. I have better luck at finding pants that fit me at Zara, but even then that is still a hit or miss situation. I'm frustrated that many pants in shops these days are a cropped length or have pleats. Anyway, this silhouette is excellent on you! I'm a firm believer once you find what works on you, especially when it comes to a silhouette, to stick with it. I feel like outfit photos are the "proof in the pudding" to style blogs, especially for me, as I'm in tattered sweats when I'm working on posts. I think there is a reader base for more "realistic" sense of dressing. I know the majority of my outfits are simplistic and repetitive–and aren't very photogenic either. On a side note, wherever you are it looks beautiful!
you look fantastic as always! I love the cut of the trousers, I must admit I am always very wary of trousers because I don't know how to style them, I think the boots and bag add just the right amount of edge. Has that APC top shrunk in the wash at all? I have the same one and I am too scared to wash it (I have only worn it about twice) in case it shrinks..I love your blog as it is at the moment, don't change it..you post the right amount of pictures to give readers a good idea of your outfits, and you don't post pictures of like 10 different poses which few blogs can pull off.
You look great and I really like the trousers. They look great! I also think this outfit would look great with a wider belt like the kind you've been looking for. I don't think you post too many photos! I think that it's important to have some sense of the blogger's style on a style blog, because that's what makes the blog personal. Like Prêt à Porter P said, I think there's a growing readership for real bloggers who have real wardrobes. I personally don't like blogs that feature endless photos of vastly different outfits (the whole, 'never wear something twice,' schtick) or blogs that never feature a personal photo (knightcat, for example). I feel like they're both too impersonal. If I wanted to see endless photos of different outfits, I'd rather buy a magazine instead of look at a fashion blog. If I wanted to see endless photos of someone other than the blogger, then I'd still rather buy a magazine haha. I feel like your blog is a perfect mix of personal photos and commentary on editorials.I think the great magnetism of blogs is the fact that they are NOT magazines and they are written by individuals with limited resources, real lives, and real bodies. No blogger, no matter how hard he/she tries, will ever replace a magazine–magazines just have too many resources for bloggers to compete. So I like it when bloggers accept that fact and make their blogs personal and relatable. Bloggers who do so really play up the strengths of the blogging medium!
Of course your outfits are blog-worthy ones. I like them better than the average blog-outfit nowadays. They are completely honest, by which I mean: I do not doubt the fact that maybe you just put something on only to impress your readers. I especially like the way in which you portray them: in curious bits and pieces. The trousers are a big hit as well. You really got me here!
yes to more of these sorts of posts!
I love the simple perfection of your outfits; please continue to post them. This kind of minimalistic style is hard to master and rare to find.
I love your outfit posts and will never get tired of them. They're my favorite part of your blog! I don't think your outfits are boring at all, so please keep posting. Also, just out of curiosity, do you know where your APC breton top was made? I've read somewhere about how APC clothing in France is made in France, but if you go to the stores in the US sometimes the clothing is labeled "Designed in France, made in Morocco/Tunisia/China". I've been wanting one of those tops but I am also trying to be more aware of the products I consume and where they come from so I was just wondering. Anyway, keep the photos coming!
I love seeing your outfit posts! I don't think that they are boring at all. I'd actually like to see a post once and a while of you dressing a little bit more wild and outside of your comfort-zone. I dress pretty simple too, but sometimes I find it refreshing to try new combinations that seem a little out-there/crazy. I often find new favorite combinations that way :)
2 points:1. your picture isn't showing up for me, and2. i like your outfit pictures enough that i went poking round in 'view source' trying to find the link (it's here if anyone else can't see it), does that tell you anything? :) I wouldn't worry about outfits being too basic – I'm not sure there's any such thing as too basic, and also you are very clear on what your style is, so it's not like it's a surprise to any of your readers – we are all here specifically to see (or read about) some fleurette-style :)
I think this is rather refreshing in sea of people who overdo things for visual impact and attention on blogs. While that is perfectly fine, you are a more accurate representation of what a truly chic person would wear and that's why I think people continue to come back to your blog for your simple but still fashionable (note: not trendy per se) outfits as well as sound advice. This brings to mind an article which I find quite relevant to your questions: http://www.fashionising.com/clothing/b–curated-wardrobe-6616.html so you should not stop what you are doing so well!
Brilliant outfit & post. Nice to see subtle changes in the outfit to make it different enough. What you are wearing would be great with shorts too. Anyway it's good to see you confidently posting pics of yourself.
I love your outfit posts! I think your blog is a more accurate representation of how someone without unlimited access to all the designer clothes would dress. You actually carefully pick out a few pieces and wear them repeatedly. What I find interesting is your pairing of ankle boots with cropped pants. You seem to make it work, while the rest of the fashion world would find that fashion suicide – cutting your leg at two different areas. On most people, it would probably look very awkward and stumpy! I know it would on me, without a doubt. Your blog has inspired me to dress more simply and choose what I buy more carefully! If only I had the slim, tall figure of the Parisienne girls. I love the look of menswear, but how many girls can realistically pull off high-waisted pleated pants or leather leggings? As much as I love menswear, I think I can only admire from afar. Great job on your entries – I have favorited your site! xoxo Cat
The proportion is spot-on here. You look immaculate, as always! And where you took this picture look intriguing – is it a park? x
Your outfits are not boring. I love its simplicity and above all authenticity. I find only a few style blogs that are truly genuine. For most, I have the feeling that people present themselves for the internet like for a stage performance, but in reality they would never go so freaky on the street. Anyway, I love your blog and you do everything right. Keep it up!
I totally love your outfits and I find them really inspiring so there's never too many posts like this. :)
Your blog is really great! I really admire you. You know exactly what's good on you and what's not. I kinda love it that you're posting more and more outfits actually. You shouldn't change that at all!
Lovely outfit – I think this might be my favorite yet, it looks so 'put together' without being try-hard. I agree with 0000 – I want to see the blogger behind the blog, but I don't want hundreds of model-like photos wearing one-off outfits I doubt they can walk in let alone live in. I love that your wardrobe is small but full of beautiful quality, covetable pieces, which makes it so interesting to see worn. Siobhan
The fit of those trousers look great, i think they show through in the photos. Great photos, I love how they are from close up to all zoomed out!
cute !http://leblogmodedejulie.blogspot.com/
Fantastic outfit! I love the fit of your trousers. I'm a big fan of the cropped trousers + ankle boots silhouette. I wear the look often myself! Still on the search for the perfect pair of trousers though. I have two pairs but they don't fit right, one's too loos and the other pair slightly too tight, haha. Oh, and I got those ankle boots in black last week via ebay! I'm so extremely happy I finally found them. I actually had given up hope a long time ago. ;)And I love your blog like it is now, so please don't stop posting outfit pictures!
you post such beautiful, refined and gracious picture of yourself, i just wish you'd post more often.this is one of the few blogs i'm always sure i'll find something interesting and not plain AT ALL every time i visit.A little treasure in a sea of banalities and people who buy something new everyday just to run a blog and say pretty boring poor stuff to achieve some popularity, gettin "famous" doing silly empty stuff.i don't really understand that.I appreciate that you're showing us different combinations of the same item. That shows your good personality and intelligence.I hate al this consumerism.few things but good ones.keep going like this, this place is really enjoyable.uggs :)
Like your outfit!
I'm having such a hard time finding a pair of trousers that fit well aside from a pair from Joseph but it was too expensive. As for a "blog-worthy" outfit, I think that's beside the matter. If you think it's noteworthy enough, that should be reason to publish it. I like the current amount of photos. I don't like blogs posting dozens of photos of the same outfit but in different poses. It's just an endless stream!
Your outfit posts are by no means boring- I think the reason people frequent your blog is because they long for that classic style that you have near-perfected. I for one have really enjoyed the recurrence of outfit posts into your blog. (Btw, first comment on new macbook! haha)
I love posts like this! Keep it up, darling, we all adore your blog :)
I love your blog, and your photos are delicious(thats the word that came in to my mind, I'm a sucker for basic outfits!). Don't you change a thing just keep up the good work!Love Jenny
Chère Fleurette,I've stumbled upon you blog this morning, and I have like a sorority feel when I read you (decided to start form the beginning.)It's been a year that I've decided that the way I dress should be different. I've done the Six Items Or Less experiment, but found it really difficult to stick to it. Then I've sorted my closet, but put the bags full of unwanted clothes in an other closet. Stupid me.Then, 2 weeks ago, I saw my apartment, and decided that it's was not only the way I dress that was inappropriate, but also the way I live. I did a Grand Ménage de Printemps. And gave out three huge bags of clothes. And bought some new wooden hangers.I'll read you blog carefully, I like you style, and(don't have much money to spend on clothes but) I am willing to find my perfect closet. I love fashion, but I want to be able to focus on other things than my personal style. I need to 'domesticate' my tastes. Stop hesitating, stop wanting being someone else.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate every single thought and comment, and it's good to see that you are positive as to the recurrence of outfits on my blog as of late. – Pret a Porter P: My trousers are actually pleated but I want a pair without pleats as well. And thank you!! Actually, I thought of your earlier comment on the streets looking pretty when these photos were taken. It's the royal palace park, by the way! – Alex: I don't think it has shrunk but I wouldn't mind it shrinking a little bit. You don't need to worry if you use a mesh laundry bag and wash at 30 degrees. Btw I saw your outfit on tumblr, very lovely! I want your skirt as well.. I'm having such a hard time unearthing the perfect black tailored skirt (why didn't I get my hands on the Joseph skirt??).- 0000: Yes yes, I want a wider belt for my trousers! I totally agree with everything you say :-)- Anonymous May 15, 2011 8:10 AM: Good to hear that you care about where your clothes come from, I'm a bit fanatic when it comes to such things. Apparently APC manufactures their clothing in several countries. My tops are made in Portugal, Latvia and China. I actually thought they were made in France.- Megan: Please define "wild", haha. I do unbutton my shirts when I go to parties, concerts, etc, as I'm not a fan of overtly sexy clothes.- Alannarama: Oh, seriously? Do the photos in the previous outfit posts show? Maybe it's because I just recently started to use blogger's image uploader to upload my photos. Ahh I hate when my images don't show. The white box with an X ruins my blog's appearance, design-wise.. haha.- Joy: Thanks for sharing that article!! – blossbloss: I agree, I'm going to wear this formula with a pair of shorts in summer (but with flats, not heels).- Cat: I LOVE the cropped pants + ankle boots combination. I've stopped dressing to look taller, instead I dress my body and proportions. Besides I actually think ankle boots paired with cropped pants can elongate your legs. The ankle boots give you height while the cropped pants give an illusion of longer legs as though you're wearing pants that are too short. ^_^ Thank you for the kind comment, and I wanted to say that as an avid Paris-traveler, I can assure you that most Parisiennes aren't as tall and skinny as Emmanuelle Alt and the like.. I think the majority are as petite as I am, that's why I derive so much inspiration from french girls. Take Clemence Poesy, for instance.. I met her in Paris and compared my height with hers, haha. We're the exact same height.- K.: Thank you dearly. It's the royal palace park :-)
You look lovely! My boyfriend was peeping over my shoulder and is now making fun of me for being a 'stripy-top-blogger' :P I really like seeing outfit photos; although it's the same few items, the way someone wears them is the most interesting part.
I like all the outfit posts lately. They give another dimension to the blog and are very inspirational. I don't find the outfits boring, because with your style it's all about achieving the right balance of details, which you've done here. As others noted, it's about the length of the pants, the roll of the blazer, the height of the heel, etc. Now, since you ask, I'll go into more detail about what I'd want to see or not see. . . I like the number of photos you have here. A few detail shots and a full-length shot is satisfying without being stultifying. I find it pretty boring to see endless unedited shots of the same outfit. I also like the clarity and style of the shots. Not into the Lula-diffused lens-quasi editorial series of shots.I do hope you'll balance these posts out with your usual wardrobe-building posts. Those posts seem substantive in that they make me think about my own wardrobe. Not that outfit posts aren't substantive, but they approach the matter in a different way.I also like your music and food posts, especially because they give glimpses into you the person without being too personal, but I think those should be less frequent than the fashion-related posts. I'm not sure why, but fashion blogs more than any other kinds benefit from having a somewhat narrow focus.Oh, and one other thought. I always like to read the thinking behind the pictures of an outfit, even it it's just the history of one piece or why one pair of shoes is worn instead of another. Anyway, these are all just my own proclivities, so feel free to go your own way with the blog. It's always better than I could imagine, anyway! (PS It's Mouse. I'm trying out a diff name cause I'm schizo like that. lol)
loving it!!just discovered your blog… and i love itxoxo
Your style is impeccable.
Yep, all the other pictures on your blog are appearing… a few other blogger sites have had pictures not appearing though. Maybe it's just my internet connection.
I think your outfit posts are great. I love how you dress. There are somany bloggers who dress completely different or the total opposite. That's why I think it's great that there are bloggers like you: I can relate to your viewpoint of fashion/style. Oh, and I think the pants look great on you!
I really like your boots! <3
I like your blog and style a lot. There´s no need for change as far as I´m concerned. But may I ask you, what would you wear to a wedding? I´m attending one in about a week, and I could use some inspiration. Maybe you could make a post on it?
love the outfit, great combo and the trousers are absolutely wonderful! I've been looking for a pair like those ones since forever but haven't found the ones that fit me just right yet…
Herlig antrekk! Tror nok helt klart jeg kunne brukt det samme selv i mange, mange dager/uker. Fine bilder. Liker at du har 2-3 bilder av hvert antrekk. Da ser man litt forskjellige detaljer, vinkler og slikt. Dessuten blir det hverken for mange eller for få.
I'm an avid follower of both your blog and tumblr. I've spent countless hours on your blog, and have revisited posts again, and again without tiring – especially your outfit, and wardrobe planning posts. I really enjoy your blog, and jump when when I see an update from your blog on google reader. I even went to google translator to encrypt the post in Norwegian because I didn't want to miss out! In my books, you're doing everything right!I completely admire your aesthetic, and the simple, wonderful way you dress. The way you invest in quality pieces, and tailor your wardrobe to encapsulate the epitome of what you love, and more importantly need, has inspired me to do the same (I've also helped my mum clean out her closet). Your blog propelled the realisation that what I've been looking for all along has been to have a capsule wardrobe. You've introduced me into a whole culture of bloggers, and designers who share this same aesthetic! Previously, I spent on throwaway clothes, thinking that owning one piece out of each category would make me happy. However, it didn't, and I ended up with a wardrobe full of things I never wore because they simply didn't feel like "me".I've always loved wearing basics that are practical, comfortable, durable, and subtle. Thinking back, I realise now that I've always dressed to a uniform, however, I just didn't know how to be "chic" in it. I equated "chic-ness" with overdressing. This probably sounds strange, but I feel like I now know how to dress like myself; in clothing that makes me feel comfortable, confident, and cornily, ready to conquer the world!Thank you for helping me to discover this with your wonderful blog!P.S. Sorry I deleted the previous post because it had some spelling errors and I wanted to correct this!
I love the outfit photos. Definitely keep it up. Love this one, the pants fit great and that blazer too. And those boots and that bag make me drool with envy. http://nomadic-d.blogspot.com/
Definetely keep up what you're doing! It's refreshing to see a blog that doesn't feature: a) crazy outifts that make you think "You really went out like THAT?!";b) a new item of clothing every 2 days;c) trendy outfit after trendy outfit without any sense of personal style behind them.I personally love that you dress in a consistent manner, and that your outfits are simple and wearable. To me that's not boring at all, it's precisely what I want to see in a blog :)
Perfect, just perfect. The simplicity and consistency of your style is remarkable. I admire the fact that you resist the temptation to buy loads of cheap stuff and stick to elegant, well made classics, which, by the way, are not at all boring. I'm addicted to your blog and I try to emulate your style. And I'm almost twice your age, what does that tell you? Please, post more of your outfits!
At the moment I think your blog has a perfect balance between photographs of your outfits and more 'word-heavy' posts. I for one certainly enjoy looking at/reading both, so if you keep it up like this you won't hear me complain :) And don't worry about your outfits being blog worthy or not. As many have pointed out before me, if this is what you've been wearing, then by all means show it. Such a no-need-to-impress kind of honesty is as refreshing as it is inspiring, and definitely more relatable for those of us who share your love for simple outfits.
Those shoes are FAB! Love it! Great look dear! XO Raspberry & Rougehttp://raspberry-rouge.com
Oh how I wish I had your problem of feeling I look skeletal in skinny pants – I have the opposite problem (my legs are very muscly from cycling everywhere, and that also tends to be where I gather fat when I'm stressed, so I'm always conscious of my thighs looking fat in things). But honestly, these pants look absolutely perfect – like you say, an impeccable cut, perfect length, and what looks to be a good quality fabric. Are they recent? And I absolutely love this look on you – what sets you apart and makes you you is that you're so dedicated to such a beautifully simplistic silhouette (which I mean as a strong compliment, by the way). And I do enjoy seeing your outfit shots of late – my only advice would be to not be afraid of showing you head (one full body shot with one or two detailed shots is perfect). Briony xx
deadfleurette, i think there is a huge room in the blogging world for people like you who has a strong sense of personal style. Its much more realistic and quite honestly inspiring to see someone wear the same thing over and over again without feeling insecure or stale.check JERRLIFE.blogspot.com!
I like fact that this outfit is kind of a mix of the previous two. It shows a good example of how many outfits you can compose with just a few good items :)
I'm really repeating myself but I really like your outfits. And I really like your blog the way it is. Basic photos are good and a lot of details are good. I can't think of a single thing you need to change.
Wow! Thank you kindly for the feedback. Nice to get an evaluation of the recent flurry of outfit shots on my blog :-) Also, it makes me happy that you all appreciate a more "realistic" sense of dressing as shown here.- Quinn: Haha, I think I've stalked you for so long that I know that you're Mouse, haha! Thanks for the feedback, though I can assure you that my fashion posts will be more frequent than the food, etc posts.. (except for the weekly music post).. or, I think it depends on my mood. Oh, I'll be posting a new wardrobe planning post soon. – Anonymous May 15, 2011 4:26 PM: I get a lot of what to wear to a wedding-questions. I'm just going to copy+paste an e-mail: I would go for a dress from Vanessa Bruno. She makes beautiful and timeless dresses for simple women. I would also go for a little black dress with a simple but exquisite cut. Very chic and avec classe. Think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's :-) And of course, a pair of classic heels, a subtle clutch and great hair in a hair bun or just loose with soft waves. And simple but natural makeup and a bit lipstick!- Jenfaa: Oh, thank you so much for the incredible kind comment. I can absolutely relate to your comment. "clothing that makes me feel comfortable, confident, and cornily, ready to conquer the world!" – you're so right :-)- Anonymous May 15, 2011 6:41 PM: That makes two of us! If you haven't explored the other style blogs on my blog roll, you should :-D In the sea of style blogs, it may seem difficult to find blogs that exhibit realistic everyday outfits (not referring to outfits such as Miu Miu heels in the wood… lol) but if you search you'll find a couple of gems.- Anonymous May 15, 2011 7:30 PM: You're far too kind, thank you! (Though I would advise you not to try emulating other people's style. It's easy to overlook what really suits your taste and body then! I always fall into that trap..).- mmr: Long time, no see! Thank you. Your blog has actually inspired me to venture at posting my simple, everyday attires. (Really, how many people do look as good as you do in just a blue shirt, jeans and a cute pair of shoes? Bravo!!)..- Briony: Thank you dearly. I bought these trousers back in December 2010. I think they are one of those basic things that Zara always make. And I do show my head in the pictures, haha, but not my face! (I really value my privacy).- Olivia: Haha, tusen takk, du er så søt! Bokanbefalinger hadde vært fint, men jeg må innrømme at jeg ikke har hatt tid til å lese så mye i år (jeg er btw ingen chick lit-jente). For øvrig leser jeg Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer. Har ikke fått lest mer enn et par sider, hahahha. – Sabrina: Ahaha, you're right! My future outfits will look similar to the already posted ones.
Such a great outfit! Those pants look great on you! I love your outfits posts. I hope you continue to make this a regular feature!
How fitting that you mention the idea of style curation! Earlier I was jotting notes in my journal about this very subject. I've lately been obsessed with the notion of curation in every facet of life, and because I'm already writing personal journal entries about it, I thought a blog would be a great means document everything on something more permanent than on sheets of paper. I plan on starting it soon, so I'll be sure to send a link your way when it's developed. As for your questions, you absolutely do not post too many pictures. You post just the right amount! And what I love about your outfit posts is that that you don't do it in a gratuitous or flamboyant way. Keep it going! :-)
Beautiful! You post just the right amount of photos, though I'd love to see more details and your head ;) But girl, you are still skinny, I want your legs!
Lovely lady, people connect with you because you are not buying new pieces of fashion each week and your philosophies of wardrobe building are inspiring. But, this is your blog and it is important to do whatever you are happy doing. Post whatever you like, whatever you feel, good days, bad days and importantly, if privacy is important to you, don't back down from that. No matter what, you will build a community of like-minded people around you who support and love your blog. Your blog should never feel like a chore, but rather a good friend to whom you share things. I love what you do, but I'm sure I'd love it still if you changed it even more with other topics.
i very much enjoy your outfit posts. i actually prefer blogs in which the author doesn't own a zillion items, wearing each one only once or twice. i like seeing things repeated, well-edited, purposeful; i find it much more interesting and thoughtful. it seems that the kooples boots are working out for you. :) i think what you are doing with your blog is just right. i wouldn't change a thing!
I guess you're just doing what feels right to you, and it is your blog! Many of the style blogs that I enjoy watching, I can't really relate to the styles in them, but I enjoy watching all the creativity, that goes on in them. And then, there are personal styles that I can actually relate to, like yours! My style could also be called "boring" and "repetitive", I guess, but I think there's a lack of more "common" outfits out there in the blogosphere, because a "skinnier" wardrobe usually involves more creativity from the owner (trust me, I know). Keep doing your thing, the way that feels right for you! Because it'll show!
I love the new direction your blog, the outfit posts especially. This one is just perfect, the trousers look so good on you. I still feel very self-conscious about posting pictures of myself. I really appreciate the balance between posts like this one, and your beautifully written thoughts on style, food and music.
haha yes, I'm a lousy commenter, I know, but an avid reader nonetheless ;) and thanks, you're way too kind!
I really love your outfit pictures recently! You can really see how all your thought and deliberation has made your perfect wardrobe come to fruition. It's amazing to see that all unfold. The trousers are pretty much perfect on you, I'm so glad you decided to splurge on them in Paris! You'll wear them forever. I know what you mean though about feeling like an outfit isn't blog worthy. I struggle with this a lot, and like Garderoben, I feel self-conscious posting pictures of myself. I enjoy blogging in some ways because my personal friends aren't really into fashion, so this has been a great outlet to meet people and exchange thoughts and ideas with others who have similar interests and taste … but at the same time, I feel too exposed having a blog, when I am actually a somewhat private person! In any case, I love the direction of your blog right now!
Love the colour of that blazer and looks great with the striped top and trousers! x
I love your outfit posts and the more pictures, the better! lol!p.s. Do the Ettore Adriano loafers run true to size???
late as usual, but wanted to chime in – i like the whole mix of your blog. i get inspiration, theory, shopping list, shopping result, closet inventory, and outfits. most blogs are so focussed on 'more more more new new new', which is fine but not my interest. my interests run more along 'how do i maintain a cohesive style?' 'how can i use one piece in different, creative, but not forced ways?'it is becoming more possible to find more theory or 'how to' about small, less consumption wardrobes – but i'm most happy to be seeing more blogs with a focus on the *practice* of a small wardrobe. it's really helpful to see a particular person with a particular set of clothes and how they put them together to express their feelings and likes and to deal with various practicalities.i also like blogs that show day to day looks that are stylish, flattering, practical, but that 'hang together' as a piece from day to day. (don't know if this idea will come across!) some bloggers with lots of clothes can seem kind of all over the place – this trend today, 'french chic' thursday, 'glitzy soccer mom' on saturday – there's not so much cohesion or a feeling that they've really hit on what is essential for them.so i can see where you would feel, 'oh, this is too boring for a blog' (i feel the same at times!) – but it's just an aspect of being stylish that we don't see much at all on the web. (maybe we see it more in real life if we're lucky enough to know someone with this take on style).anyways, please keep it up! we love it! steph

I always appreciate when you post your own outfit photos! I find them far from boring–they are very affirming that it's possible to have quality things within a 'real girl' budget and lifestyle. While there seems to be a sudden explosion of blogs/shops/magazines focusing on slow fashion for men, I've found them few and far between on the women's side (so I love the insight into what you read as well!)I also find that it's the mix of text and photos make a style blog. While you may be a little wary about a 'boring' photostream, it's actually the perfect illustration of what you write–which myself and many other commenters seem to truly appreciate. Please keep up!
No, do not worry. It's interesting to see what you wear even though it's never anything too fancy. It's nice to see basics and pretty pieces combined nicely.
Bare å legge ut flere bilder, we love it!
I too am a creature of habit, and can sometimes get so into one of my new outfits i've created and I neglect all the other wonderful pieces I have! I am super inspired by your blog, just came across it. Adding it to my daily reads! xxxwww.ladyalamode.com
This outfit is a dream. Since I saw those Kooples boots featured on your blog I have been on a mission to find them or their ideal counterpart. so far it's highly unsuccessful, but I can still dream and admire from afar!
This look is perfection!!
