Spring purchases

Here are my sartorial purchases in visual form. I apologize for not being wordy these days and for the sudden stream of photos of this nature. A spring wardrobe planning post is coming up, I promise. Each of my new wardrobe additions deserves a brief summary in an other post, as there is a little story behind every purchase.

Isabel Marant jacket, Isabel Marant Etoile linen longsleeve, Isabel Marant linen trousers and A.P.C. breton shirt.

  1. Linen is the best fabric! I've got linen tees/tanks on my shopping list for spring/summer–now hoping I'll be able to find them.Beautiful IM jacket. Splurge-worthy!

  2. Som jeg sa tidligere, den jakken er perfeksjon! Håper nesten at noen lager en litt rimeligere knock-off av den….De andre plaggene er også fine, liker spesielt t-skjorta, men den jakkken….sukk!!

  3. I found your blog 2 days ago and I was totally inspired. It was the approach I was looking for.A question…Why do I get in place of certain images the painting of a frog inside an ice cube and underneath saying register domain and an address?

  4. Ou I saw a pic of the jacket in your tumblr. It looks very nice, I love black + blue together. I like how everything is it's own little outfit too.

  5. Ah you managed to find one of the APC breton t-shirts! It looks like a darker blue than mine. Where did you find it? Would love to get another one. APC undoubtedly do some of the best breton tees. x

  6. Looks great! would you recommend that linen longsleeve? I tried on the APC breton shirt a few months ago while it was on sale, still regret not buying it.

  7. That jacket is seriously breathtaking – the colour is gorgeous and the detailing impeccable. Everything looks perfect, I can't wait to see how they all look on.

  8. I am so happy you post more often. Your purchases are very nice and I have to admit: you inspire me to buy a lot less "junk" than I used to!

  9. I love that apc breton, annoyingly it doesn't seem to be available online anymore. How you have folded everything reminds me of a spread in the gentlewoman.

  10. I love everything you bought. I like that you are so focused about your clothing purchases. I seem to get so easily distracted; my closet doesn't 'flow' very well and the pieces are hardly suited to mix and match. I need some of your deliberate and focused attitude about clothing.

  11. I love it all too! Beautiful. I've tried the linen top, it's lovely. Ithink I have to find a way to get the trousers, and would love to see them on. It seems like they might be what I'm looking for.

  12. what a beautifully curated wardrobe you have! i'm thinking of getting an apc breton in xs – can you advise whether they fit loosely or tight? many thanks.

  13. Many thanks for the lovely response!! I really appreciate it :)- Alexandra: You should, and you must hurry up as they are almost sold out in the best good colors, i.e. black and white. The fabric is so soft, you want to wear it all the time.- Aesthetic alterations: Vanessa Bruno has some extremely lovely and well-cut linen t-shirts.- MyFavouriteThings: Håper noen lager én jakke kun for deg. Hadde vært kjipt om plutselig alle kjedebutikkene solgte en lignende jakke :-( Haha!- angie: Thank you! And to answer your question: I have no idea. Can you tell me which posts that happened to? Very odd!!- Pret a Porter P: Thank you, and I agree. These purchases make two ensembles/uniforms.- Olivia: Yes! I was so happy when I found it because I thought it was completely sold out (didn't see it in the online shop). I bought it at APC. I asked the sales assistant if he could show me all the stripy things they're currently selling. Apparently, this one is the classic one so APC will always sell it. You just have to ask for it as it isn't showcased in the shop for some odd reason. Yes, the blue color is darker than yours, but I prefer it in navy! Another note; APC is obviously hiding a lot of gems in the basement. Half of the pretty things from APC did not even hang on the hangers in the store. I wonder how they manage to sell stuff…- jip: I haven't worn the linen longsleeve yet, but it's so soft and as bénédicte said the draping is wonderful. I can't wait to wearing it. It's still too cold in Norway so i'd probably wait another 2 months. I'll give you a full report! As for the APC breton shirt, read my reply to Olivia's comment. It's a classic shirt that APC always sells, but it's not available online this season.- Alex: I know! If you really yearn for this shirt, you should try to call APC and ask if they could send it to Australia or New Zealand. The way I folded the garments is as a matter of fact inspired by The Gentlewoman. Mostly because I wasn't able to capture proper photos of these garments in a different manner.- polliani: Seriously, I don't want to be rude but I see that you have a tendency to spam my blog with your blog advertisements. Statcounter tells me everything.. so please, stop spamming my blog, it doesn't make me want to visit your blog either.- V: That's far too kind of you! Merci!- Garderoben: Hmm, what are you looking for? I can't decide if these trousers are skinny or slouchy as they always go back to their original state even after trying to stretch them out tremendously.- Anonymous: Thank you! Initially I was going to order this breton shirt from A.P.C.'s online shop in size S, and I am enormously happy that I missed out on it online.. because XS is slightly too big for me, but it works, I don't mind it being a tad loose. But the sleeves are very long, so beware of that if you're not tall.

  14. of course each piece is utter perfection! I'm really excited to see the lines of the trousers when you wear them. I love blue/black combinations, especially with a hint of white. Really good. And I think I have the same APC top!

  15. very thoughtful purchases, fleurette! i'm interested in seeing how the marant trousers look on the body. i love linen but it's quite tricky finding linen clothing that don't hang on the body like a limp sack- especially pants. i'm sure these don't do that!

  16. I also prefer it in this navy colour – I've just contacted APC to try and track one down! Thanks for letting me know – most strange indeed that they keep so much in the basement.. funny sales tactics. :) x

  17. I always love posts like this :) Must have been expensive though? How do you manage to save? It would have taken me a year or so, haha.

  18. Oh Fleurette you are so so good! I haven't been as deliberate a shopper as you – I think I need to ask Amex to give me a spending limit, lol. I think from now on when I go shopping I need to ask myself "WWFD" – "What Would Fleurette Do?"I can't wait to see each piece in an outfit post! I also love how you photographed the items, very cool.

  19. Many thanks for the lovely response! :)- S: You must have this shirt, it's so you! I love black and navy/blue combinations too. – Olivia: Let me know how it goes! Otherwise I could get one for you next time I go back to Paris.. not sure when, maybe in june to attend a wedding.. – Maria: Really expensive :( I have been saving for a long long time.. – koko: Haha, that's sweet! I hope WWFD prevents you from making regrettable purchases.

  20. Your purchases are so inspiring. I definitely do love ALL your pieces and i love your theory on shopping. xox
