Playlist: February’11

Here’s the playlist of the month for the readers who have access to Spotify. This playlist contains some of my most played songs of 2008 that I just recently rediscovered (Metronomy, Midnight Juggernauts, Santogold, The Virgins, Born Ruffians). Oh, how I miss 2008! Music wise, it was such a good year – MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Cut Copy, Late of the Pier, Sébastien Tellier, and so on. Enjoy!

  1. i went through a phase of listening to metronomy all the time for a while, and then stopped. i think it's a good idea to revive it again, now that you've mentioned it!i've also inexplicably been listening to a lot of two door cinema club, and the zutons.

  2. Wow I think there's some of songs I got from one of your playlists, probably back from 2008? It's kind of weird 'watching you grow from afar'. I feel like I know you. Sadly there's no Spotify access in my country :(, but I do know and enjoy a lot of the songs on this playlist :). Lately I've been listening a lot to The Whitest Boy Alive (just saw them live) and Kings of Convenience.

  3. Sounds creepy maybe, but I remember these songs from your old blog, haha.I listen to "old" music all the time. Usually they are just forgotten on my iPod, and then i discover them again.

  4. I totally agree with you re 2008 music. I barely listen to super current music anymore…I am always dancing around to old Midnight Juggernauts and The Presets.
