Bonne année et bonne santé à vous tous !
Thank you all for making 2010 a great blogging year. You cannot believe how your words of support and comments cheer me to blog more. I really appreciate it!
One of my blog’s resolutions for 2011 is to post more outfits (requested by readers), but I don’t think it will happen because it would be like posting the same picture over and over again. Regardless, all I have to offer is a (poor quality) video of my New Year’s Eve outfit. It was completely unpredicted as I was supposed to wear something else. At the last minute, I switched from wearing the intended outfit to what I was wearing all day. Strangely, I also wore this particular sweater to the Christmas party and on Christmas Eve.
I wore a chunky crew neck knit from Acne, a pair of soon-to-be perfect tapered trousers from Zara which I eventually decided to get my hands on (the cuffed hems will be fixed soon), heels and my regular outerwear from Isabel Marant.
Love your outfit! The pants look great too! I was wondering if you took a size larger or is the fitting suppose to be a little bit loose? Happy New Year to you too!
Lovely outfit. And as always with your blog, it's hugely refreshing to see someone write so honestly about the repetition of certain outfits and garments. If something is perfect, why not wear it everyday? (By the way, thanks for your kind words about my humble blog. I was touched!)
I love this. This is a great resolution because I'd definitely love to see more outfits from you. Happy new year!
Ponytail Girl: Thank you! The fit is exceptional which is why I couldn't let it go even though it's not 100% perfect (yet). I took it in the smallest size available (34). The fit is actually supposed to be tighter but it's just perfectly loose on me (I'm more of a size 32). It's supposed to fit COMME ÇA. :)A: Thank you! "If something is perfect, why not wear it everyday?" – I second that. It's called a favorite for a reason.. :)Paperwhales: Merci beaucoup!
I love your heels, where did you get them? I've seriously been searching for the perfect, plain, black pumps for like three years. They're impossible to find!
Emelie: They're from Bianco footwear. I purchased the heels in 10th grade for the prom. I do not recommend Bianco footwear though, the quality is terribly poor but these heels have lasted because I don't wear them as often.
Thanks for the response, I don't like Bianco either though. I actually found a really good pair of pumps at Rizzo yesterday, black leather – they were even on sale – but of course they were out of my size. Sigh.
Its fascinating how you make such a simple outfit to look so well done.
Loved!
I like the fit on the trousers. Happy New Year Fleurette, all the best for 2011!
Deg "kjenner" jeg jo! Fantastisk at du klatrer deg oppover blogglisten og har fått så mange lesere. Tipper du kommer til å gjøre det stort. Fortsett med det gode arbeidet ditt og lykke til!
Very lovely outfit Fleurette. The trousers are a lovely fit on you, slim but with a certain ease, and I very much like them with the proportion of your sweater … I have a thing for boxy knits that hit above the hip/high hip. So many tops are very long these days, which is fine and a nice look in itself, but a slightly shorter sweater can be very flattering and leg lengthening :) Happy New Year to you!
Emelie Caiberth: Oh, i know your feeling. Good luck with finding the perfect pair!Victoria and Yolanda: Merci!Pret a Porter P: The fit is pretty much exquisite. Happy New Year!!Aida: OMG, deg "kjenner" jeg også. :-O Er ikke meningen at jeg skal være på blogglisten, det er kun for å følge med på statistikken, haha. Hjelp! Tusen takk!
i really like the proportions here. in theory, i'm up for trying different silhouettes/proportions but it's not easy for me, being petite. it appears you might be, too (admittedly it's hard to tell in photos, isn't it?) and yet you are able to wear, for example, a boxy sweater and cropped looser trousers flawlessly!happy new year!
p.s.well, i suppose the trousers aren't really "cropped" so much as they are ankle length, but i'm sure you get my point. :)
Sarah: Thank you! I love boxy sweaters too, maybe because they disguise my nonexistent cleavage. Style Oddyssey: Thank you, I love the silhouettes to! I am petite as well, only 5 ft 4 in. By the way, the pants will be cropped soon! Showing off ankles is 'sexy'!
Happy new year!I love a pair of cropped trousers – I agree about showing off the ankle. Here's to another year of great posts from you!
This video is a fun idea. I adore your minimalistic looks.
I have always wanted to see the Bator coat in motion besides in the fashion show video.Happy new year, even if its a bit late!!
Nydelig klokke :-)
you are perfectly thin! don't ever think you're fat, pleaseand your outfit is gorgeous!happy new year!
you know, all i kept thinking looking at this was 'wow…such beautiful wrists and ankles' lol. everything fits you perfectly. and from the sounds of things, your capsule wardrobe has come together nicely. an outfit for everything, and every outfit perfectly suited to your form. happy new year, fleurette.
Great outfit. Love the tapered trousers especially, I've been searching for a pair for ages!herribbonsandherbows.blogspot.com/

It makes such a diffence, seeing how the clothes move with your body! You're impeccable, as always.
Happy New Year to you!Charming little video. The outfit is perfectly you.
So lovely, as always! I just discovered your blog and it's been a wonderful start off to this new year as I try to prune my closet!
Happy New Year! I went to Barneys to see if the coat you're wearing in the video went on sale, but unfortunately they were sold out. No surprise though, it's a great coat. This year I'm going to try and streamline my look a little bit – it's all over the place sometimes… I'll be stalking you, Vanillascented, and Elin Kling regularly for inspiration!
@ lin: Thank you, happy new year to you too! Looking forward to reading future posts on your always inspiring blog :-)@ Jessie: Thanks!@ Alex: I can assure you that it looks 100 times better in real life. I like video outfits because outfits look better in motion! Happy new year!@ Susanna: Tusen takk! @ Anonymous: Thank you! If only the fat could distribute evenly over my body. It's all in my face, LOL.@ Pennerad: You're just too kind! Bonne année to you too!! @ Alexandra: Merci! It shouldn't be hard for you to find a good pair. It seems like most of the trousers are made for tall and slender women like you!@ Lula: Bonne année!! See you in Paris in one month.. :-D :-D :-D @ Kate: Thank you, you're too kind!!@ TJP: Thank you dear!@ Carolyn M: Welcome to my blog, I love new readers! Thank you!@ koko: Ah, you should never wait for something from IM to go on sale! I am sure she will repeat this jacket next fall. It's such a great coat. i don't feel like myself without the jacket (which is partly why I hate the warmer months! lol). Your blog provides lots of inspiration, so I'm honored!!
You are such an inspiration. I wish I could be your friend.
I need to try and take outfit posts and generally just post more often aha. I love this look though, my uniform lately has consisted of a pair of black tapered trousers with chelsea boots, its definitely much more comfortable and easier. Vincent x
cute vimeo video! i love the consistency of your aesthetic – i say stick to your signature style. but do snap more outfit pics! :)
Such a perfect combination of proportions and I really like the use of video – it's refreshing to see everything in motion.(Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog)
