Sonia by Sonia Rykiel coat, Thakoon pants, A.P.C. sweater, La Perla bra, Repetto shoes, Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton clutch, Cartier wrist watch
The usual uniform and silhouette: An oversized and masculine coat, a sleek sweater, underwear that is barely there, a pair of cigarette pants and ankle boots with a small heel, an understated but elegant clutch and an exquisite wrist watch.
Nam!
i love the cut and sleekness of those pants.
don't let the rude comments get to you. the writers keep.coming.back… doesn't that tell you something? As for the rest of us, we're here to stay and even if we don't comment, we have nice things to say(from a Canadian, but still)
Beautiful chelsea boots. I wouldn't mind wearing this today either.
great ensemble – as usual.
^ I second that. Your taste is fantastic and very inspiring. I have gone from dressing flamboyantly to a simpler approach – thanks!
Great ensemble and easy to replicate!
this is the bread and butter of my wardrobe. super easy and i love the touch of sofia coppola with her clutch and those skinny cigarette pants! btw i just added you to my blogroll, hope you don't mind! :)
Lovely outfit, as per.http://herribbonsandherbows.blogspot.com/
Lovely inspirational post as always! It's always a daily pleasure to check on your blog.May I suggest something? I've always loved seeing you wearing your own brand of minimalist style, so may I suggest more outfit posts?Love,Wenxinhttp://between-septembers.blogspot.com
I would also love to wear that! perfection!
Isn't 'barely there underwear' /lace bras really bad for your boobs? o_O
thanks for the comments!Veronicahhh: You're right! Thank you :)miss sophie: I don't mind at all – I love your blog and I'll add you too!Wenxin Liu: Thank you! Well.. I don't do outfit posts because that would be like posting the same outfits over and over again. I practically wear the same every day, I go for the same silhouettes and uniforms. Anonymous: I don't know.. I don't have boobs!
I would love to wear it too!http://myfashioninsider.blogspot.com/
that coat!i wore stripes today too – i like how they break up the monotony of neutrals sometimes. and i love the choice of such a pretty bra under the utilitarian clothes.
I'm a sucker for navy DBs with gold buttons. It's so hard to find the perfect slim leg pant (and dark wash jean too).
Hell yeah, great outfit. Plus, I would have added wool underneath – it's winter after all! (in Norway, that is)
great outfit. i am just curious of what you are planing on wearing in the chrismans holiday? (in real life or a dream outfit). realy enjoy reading your blog!
Ah, the sweater doubles as a 'modified candycane sweater' for the holidays. Haha.Love the collage, although I wouldn't probably wear a black lacy bra under a thin cream-colored top.
You've introduced me to the wonder that is la garconne. I thank you, from the depths of my heart.I've been looking for pants of that cut for quite some time. Beautiful.
always so simply elegant.love the pants and coat.
I think wearing nice undergarments are always nice to do for any outfit. Although no one sees it, I think it makes you feel extra good in the clothes you wear. That bra is perfect for that.
I stumbled across your blog a few days ago and just finished reading through all of your posts. I find them really inspirational as I am currently getting more and more convinced that getting rid of all the stuff filling my closets that I neither need nor really want, and investing in a few well-loved pieces instead, would be make a much happier person.
Gorgeous! Love the stripes paired of that kind of pants. The boots are a must-have, elegant but practical.amatutare.wordpress.com
you should do an accessorize post! I would love to see a close up on your watch and your necklace :) love
The APC sweater is absolutely lovely. Too bad they've closed down their shop here in Stockholm, everything gets sold out so quickly online! Oh well.
the shape of that coat is fantasticwould look great with the little clutch :)
Perfect choices, as usual.
Wonderfully non chalant. Really great.I was looking at some of your older posts where you were asking if you should write more or put up more photos…I think if you could do a bit of both, that would be great, as I personally find your writings as inspirational as the visuals you supply. So please keep them coming as I've only just discovered dead fleurette and need a resource that I look forward to drawing from, especially as a working theatre actor who relishes in simplicity. so, thaks Fleurette. See you soon!
Just read your post on tumblr, and I do hope that you will keep the comments. I always the read the post and the comments, there are always so many great points being made (in both sections). I understand though why you'd want to not have people be assholes to you (but honestly, they're just losers trying to bully people, which I wonder how one can be satisfied by) and leave uncalled for comments. You might try blocking the IPs of the assholes, that is if someone leaves a truly uncalled for comment that person won't be able to bother you again. And I do hope that you'll never delete this blog, it's definitely my favourite blog ever – your writing is impeccable, as is your style. And I love your style "philosophy". Your blog has definitely made me slow down my buyings, not that I before used to shop like a maniac, I've never had that urge – rather to think before buying and really have a clear point in what I want and not what's in style right now. It has made it easier to pinpoint what my style is, and I'm really thankful for that!(sorry if nothing is making sense right now, it's late at night)
i also really hope you dont delete this blog. its one of the things i look forward to most in my day, other than living my life obviously haha. its just a really purely enjoyable and inspirational read/visual. thank you for that :)alsoyoure very chic very cool and totally unpretentious
echoing the comments above – we don't even share the same style, really, but i check your blog literally every day because i find your attitude toward clothing as well as your aesthetic really inspirational – both your writing and images. i hope you don't let the haters get you down :)
The article is worth to read. The clarity and balance that reflects from this article. Now-a-days blogs are used everywhere. The idea that we recieve from them has no words to describe. The art required is the power of creativity within yourself via learning, thinking, creating and rigorous study. Therefore the article is truely helpful for the readers. Thank you a lot for providing such an awesome article. I await your future article with great curiosity.
hi, I just wanted to say that it wasn't me that posted mean comments on your blog. I share a computer with 3 other people who live in my house (cousins + step sisters) who are also interested in fashion and I have your blog bookmarked so it's entirely possible it was them. I was browsing old posts and saw in the comments that you thought it was me (D from London?) and so I just wanted to put it straight that it really wasn't and I would never post anonymously cos I love your blog and music taste and personality! So so sorry on behalf of them but please believe that it wasn't me.
Thank you for all the comments and I apologize for the very late reply. I really really appreciate all the kind words and your support!gro: I wore the regular clothes + my Isabel Marant boots that I haven't worn in ages because of the snow in norway.paperwhales: I absolutely agree with you. Here's a quote about lingerie I reblogged on my tumblr: "When it comes to lingerie, my largest pet peeve is when I hear girls say they can’t justify buying nice things because they “don’t have a boyfriend” or “have an a-cup.” Ridiculous! I don’t think everyone should go out and buy an Agent Provocateur bra (though I highly recommend it!), but I do believe that gorgeous underwear is ultimately meant to only be enjoyed by one person, and that’s the wearer. In the end, it’s about comfort and a new kind of confidence that comes only from yourself- that under your business suit, or Zelda hoodie and sweatpants (my current ensemble), you’re wearing something simultaneously comfortable and beautiful, and only YOU know it. There are those who can only understand confidence gained from others’ approval, and then those who understand that confidence can also be gained from keeping your own secrets.” Cecilia: You're just too kind. Thank you very much for the comforting words, I really appreciate them (I wish you could comment more often as I really love your sense of style!). + it's not possible to block any IPs, but at least I have labelled the people who have left unpleasant comments, haha.Daniella: No problem and thanks for telling me. I just assumed because I checked the IP. I also thought it was a bit weird because you have been nothing but kind to me :)
Thank god because I was so worried when I saw the D from London thing my heart like stopped hahaa. I'm in loveeee with your style literally when I go out I think to myself "would deadfleurette wear this?" haha and I felt so awful cos you stopped following me on tumblr and everything and I just felt so bad but I'm glad you now know it wasn't me. My cousins are idiots but are luckily gone now (only staying for a long xmas) ! xx
