  1. oh that's so funny because i just posted about the lou sweater and a (different) rag & bone sweater. i want them for christmas hahah!

  2. Catherine: I want them too but they're so expensive and I just recently purchased a crew neck sweater from Acne, but it's 100% cotton. (I need something warmer right now!)

  3. i know! they are both so expensive ):hopefully i will find something just as nice (and cheaper!) at a thrift store when i go home for break.also, i love the acne on you.

  4. I'm so in love with those Lou sweaters! The colors and the cut are almost perfect. The price tag, not so much ;n ) Wish I could find the same colors and style, but in cotton or something more affordable than cashmere.

  5. Adore that Lou sweater. I love the way cashmere feels on my skin but alas too expensive. Back to Uniqlo…herribbonsandherbows.blogspot.com/

  6. A sweater in 100% wool is exactly what i need in this horrible, cold weather…But then it's the price. My previous shrunk after washing, too bad.

  7. I honestly kind of hate that Rag and Bone one (seems chunky/bordering on frumpy and inelegant, and would do nothing for your figure), but the cashmere one is nice. Sorry to be harsh…something about that sweater rubs me the wrong way. :)

  8. Both seem nice but not 100% perfect, do you think? The Rag & Bone looks too oversized, when you see it on the model (imagine how it would look on a shorter woman!). And the Lou looks a bit thin/not really that warm … if that's what you're looking for, then it's v. nice.

  9. Hi:) Big fan of your blog, nice to see a blogger who isn't covered in consumerism and trends.Anyway.. Have you ever tried checking out the unisex wool sweaters with crew neck from Benetton? They are SO nice (I have them in both grey, black and navy) and are the same nice fine knit as the one from Lou (not cashmere though) AND without that (imo) annoying large rib at the wrist.PS; Sorry, my english needs some brushing up..

  10. I am absolutely stunned by your blog, it is beautiful and I love your writing and your attitude towards clothing and shopping. I am so inspired by you right now, I want to start building that perfect wardrobe with the items I love, that are of perfect quality and will last for years. I move to the UK a year and half ago and the consumerism here is unbelievable, most probably due to the very cheap clothing. Unfortunately sometimes I see myself falling into the same category, I feel the need to have new things because everyone else has something new, and this is difficult for me since I have always considered myself as a rather thoughtful shopper. At the moment I think I need to take a step back, find my own style and the key items I want to invest in and then start building the perfect wardrobe. I want to say thank you to you and your great posts and now I will definitely spend more time reading your older posts. xxx

  11. Thanks for the comments :)Alexandra: Which style from uniqlo do you like the best? How is the quality? The uniqlo store in Paris freaks me out, lol.TJP: Haha, you're allowed to have your own opinions. Interesting comment however. I like the chunky look. I like sweaters that are a bit oversized, and I think this one is perfect!S: I like oversized and chunky sweaters. They fit my body shape. Sofie: Thank you, and thanks to your comment (and an old comment about UCB a long time ago), I checked out Benetton today and the sweaters seem nice. I'll have a closer look when I have time. I agree with you, I'm not really fond of sweaters with large rib at the wrist.Meri: Thank you, you're too kind Meri :) Let's keep in touch, I want to see your progress. Do update me now and then :-)

  12. Uniqlo isn't bad at all, considering the price point. Their cashmere is very soft. – I bought a couple of cardigans four years ago, and although they have needed a little mending, they are still in good shape. The colour and shape doesn't change with time. Otherwise try Pringle – their quality is excellent.

  14. Sofie: I was referring to another comment from another reader. Welcome to my blog, I love new readers :)Ammu: Thanks for the advice. I visited the uniqlo store in Paris last year, and the store was completely packed with people and I didn't have the patience to look for the cashmere sweaters. I almost fainted in the store because of the mass of people + it was terribly hot in the store. lol!Liv: Heihei, tusen takk for fin kommentar. :-D

  15. At least I know the perfect crew neck sweater is out there somewhere. I went hunting for one in stores and found myself exhausted and disappointed. Thanks for sharing these. I now have some to dream about while I continue my search.
